In her first race the filly began her career in the Nottingham 25 Guinea Subscription when she was third. She then went to Cantley Common as a well fancied filly, defeating a field of 5 to land the inaugural running of what has today become known as the St Leger Stakes. In 1777 as a 4 year old she ran in Newmarket’s Craven Stakes finishing fourth, and contested a Newmarket Subscription race a week later when she was fifth. |
